Performance appraisal as antecedents of job satisfaction among employees in a selected public institution of higher learning

چکیده

Performance appraisal (PA) is an important activity in any organisation. Employers have the responsibility of evaluating work performance each and every employee. In acknowledgement this, most organizations persist conducting appraisals despite numerous problems constraints. This research attempts to determine influence as antecedents job satisfaction among employees a selected public institution higher learning Sarawak, East Malaysia. Quantitative methodology using adapted questionnaire with statistical tests like Pearson Correlation Coefficient Multiple Linear Regression (Stepwise) were utilised analyse data. The findings indicated that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities threats PA positive significant relationship satisfaction. Results also revealed strengths one factors contributing employee on practice system.
